Activities

  • What activities are available during the retreat?

    We offer a variety of activities, including indoor high ropes, rock climbing, crate stacking, crafts, target sports such as Laser Tag and Paintball, and more. Most activities are open to everyone, but some, such as target sports, require sign-up and/or include additional costs.

    Activities offered for specific camps or retreats are dependent on the season and staffing availability.

  • Are all the activities included in the price of the retreat?

    Most activities, such as ziplining, climbing walls, and swimming, are included in the retreat price. However, a small additional fee is required for a few specialty activities, such as crafts, paintball, and trap shooting, to help cover material and equipment costs.

Housing

  • What types of housing are offered at retreats?

    We offer two types of housing:

    1. Premium housing offers traditional bunk-style beds with electricity, heating, and baths with showers inside the cabin.
    2. Standard housing offers traditional bunk-style beds with electricity, heating, and bathhouses are nearby.

    Both standard and premium housing at our Indiana property have air conditioning as well.

    Specialty housing may be available for pastors, speakers, and the leadership team.

  • Can my camper stay in the same cabin with a friend?

    Depends on the group size, groups typically stay in the same cabin or cabins close to each other. At custom retreats, leaders handle cabin assignments.

  • Do youth bunk with older (or younger) campers?

    Depending on the group size, groups typically stay in the same cabin or cabins close to each other. Leaders handle cabin assignments.

  • How many guests are in each cabin?

    The number of bunk beds varies by cabin. Most cabins accommodate group sizes of 14 to 24 guests.

  • When we bring our group, will there be other groups on the same dates?

    Maybe. Depending on the size of your group, we reserve the right to bring multiple groups to camp on the same dates. However, with over 800 acres per camp, we are often able to schedule meals and activities that keep your group together and independent from other groups sharing the camp space on the same dates for custom retreats.

Meals

  • What types of meals are served at retreats?

    Our kitchen staff prepares meals with attendees’ tastes in mind. We offer buffet-style meals with a variety of options to accommodate different food tastes and dietary needs.

  • Can you accommodate allergies or specific dietary needs?

    When notified in advance, we can usually accommodate campers with food allergies. We request allergy information on health forms and directly via post-registration emails. If your camper has allergies and you have specific questions or instructions, please email info@springhillexperiences.com.

Safety

  • What safety measures do you take to protect guests?

    Guest safety is a top priority. We follow best practices to keep everyone safe, which includes but is not limited to using certified lifeguards during water activities, daily equipment checks for adventure activities, and having medical volunteers on site in the event of an accident.

  • Someone in our group has a physical disability. What activities can they participate in?

    Just about all of them! We can provide special accommodations for most of our activities regardless of physical ability. We believe every camper should be able to experience camp, and we’ve worked hard to make sure we can provide that experience to all campers. If you have additional questions, please contact our office to speak to our Activities Manager.

Faith & Teachings

  • What Gospel topics do you teach at your retreats and camps?

    Our teachings center around major Christian theologies that help guests feel God’s love for them and inspire them to love and serve others. Our philosophy is to major in the majors and minor in the minors. Our worship sessions and speakers center their message on spreading love, giving hope, offering charity, and avoiding topics that may be seen as divisive in nature.

  • What percentage of guests increase their faith at your pre-programmed retreats and camps?

    Based on a survey from the 2023 Summer Camp:

    • 87% want to grow more in their relationship with God.
    • 70% of elementary campers know Jesus loves them.
    • 65% of elementary campers want Jesus to be in every part of their lives.
    • 83% better understand what Jesus did for them.
    • 61% of all teenage campers had an experience with Jesus at camp.
    • 76% want to pray more.
    • 75% want to tell others about Jesus.
    • 75% want to read their Bible more.

Health Questions

  • Minors in my group take medications. What is the procedure to accommodate that?

    Medications must be in their original containers with current dosage instructions. We will not accept any medications that are in a plastic bag or in a daily medication container without a label.

    During our programmed events, our infirmaries have commonly used over-the-counter medications. Licensed medical Volunteers are on-site and equipped to administer medications, monitor sick guests, and provide first aid and initial assessments.

  • What safety certifications do staff members hold?

    Members of the staff are CPR and First Aid certified. We also partner with the local fire, EMT, and hospital for emergency care situations.

Pre-Registration Camp Questions

  • What is your cancellation policy?
    • Cancellations between 180 and 31 days from your camp experience, minus the deposit, are fully refundable.
    • Cancellations between 30 and 8 days before your camp experience are charged a 50% cancellation fee.
    • Cancellations within 7 days of your camp experience will result in the forfeiture of the entire camp fee.
