At SpringHill, we understand your desire to help your teens strengthen their relationship with Jesus.
That’s why we listened to youth leaders so closely.
We’ve created a dynamic winter retreat specifically for middle and high school teens to help you extend your reach and strengthen your ministry. It is a place where they can set aside the things of the world and discover the Love God has for them in an intentional weekend.

Comfortable lodging includes bunk-style cabins. Adult leaders and youth leaders stay with students, and boys and girls sleep in separate cabins.

Please bring your own sleeping items for your comfort: pillows, blankets, etc.
We Do It All For You.
We include all the programming, housing, meals, and fun so you and your youth leaders have the time and space to connect with your teens and discuss Biblical truths that can transform their lives.
SpringHill teen retreats include large group sessions, a live band, and a featured speaker. Teens also spend the weekend engaging in fun activities like snow tubing, ice skating, a ropes course, laser tag, paintball, and swimming in an indoor heated pool.

Josh Fuller
Elder, Chapel Pointe Church
Josh Fuller serves as an elder at Chapel Pointe Church in Hudsonville, Michigan. He’s been married to Layne for 20 years, and they enjoy serving together as small group leaders for newlywed couples, marriage mentors, and Josh preaches at Chapel Pointe 4-5 times a year. They have two daughters, ages 16 and 13. Professionally, Josh works as a marketer for a pharmaceutical company – but his true passion is proclaiming the name of Jesus, seeking to honor the biblical call to be an ambassador for Christ and missionary in the workplace.
Justin Warns
Former Lead Pastor, Kensington Church
Meet Justin, one of this year’s winter teen retreat speakers! He gave his life to Jesus in a local youth group, and through mission trips, retreats, and mentors, a deep passion for the next generation took root.
After college at MSU and a brief stint in the automotive world, Justin and his wife, Jenny, stepped away from their careers to help relaunch a youth ministry at Kensington Church in Metro Detroit. Justin spent 18 years on staff at Kensington—serving primarily as a Student Ministry Pastor, discipleship pastor, and lead pastor, before stepping out to launch a new company. He still volunteers at Kensington today, jumping in wherever he can to support and teach students.
Justin loves teaching, sharing real-life stories, diving into the power of Jesus through scripture and helping students discover the incredible adventure of chasing after Jesus with their whole lives. Justin and Jenny have been married for over 19 years and have four kids, including two teenagers. Their family loves SpringHill and has spent years leading men’s, women’s, teen, and family retreats. Justin can’t wait to hang out with you all and share how Jesus changes everything!
Banner Worship
Worship Band
Banner Worship is a collective of musicians based in West Michigan with a heart to point people to Jesus. A name of Jesus is Jehovah Nissi meaning: the Lord is my banner, the Lord is my victory. Our hope is that as we come together to worship, you’ll see Jesus high and lifted up and celebrate Him as our victor. We know one day he will bring all people together and we will proclaim with zeal his victory. We can’t wait to experience that piece of Heaven on Earth together.
Derek Laird
Family Life Pastor, Ridge Point Community Church
Derek Laird and his wife Sarah have 5 kids, Josie, Jackson, Samuel, Laura, and Benjamin. Derek first attended SpringHill Camps in 1996 and met his wife Sarah on the SpringHill Day Camps team in 2009. He has taught 2nd grade, been a painter, glass fabricator and now Derek is on Staff at Ridge Point Community Church in Holland, MI. He is the Family Life Pastor, directly working with 5th–12th grade students, and is pumped to be back at SpringHill! Derek loves to dance (he is self-taught), running, and learning how to grill.
Brian Ball
Family Team Lead at Chapel Pointe
Originally from Chattanooga, TN, Brian spent a year serving as a missionary in China before settling in West Michigan. He holds a degree in Math Education and the Bible from Lee University in Cleveland, TN in addition to a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. After a decade as a teacher and principal, Brian transitioned into full-time ministry in 2022. He is passionate about equipping the next generation to be transformed followers of Jesus who actively own their faith. Outside of ministry, Brian enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, daughters and son, woodworking, and watching his favorite sports teams.
Josh Peterson
Lead Pastor, Great Lakes Church
Josh is the Lead Pastor of Great Lakes Church in Kenosha, Wisconsin. GLC is a growing community of people helping people find and follow Jesus. After a decade as a student ministry director, Josh has been speaking at camps for both middle school and high school students around the Midwest for 20 years. With three teenage sons still at home, inspiring the next generation remains his passion.
If you were to ask Josh what he does with his free time, he’d break it down into three categories: watching movies, cheering on Chicago sports teams, and drooling on Apple products he can’t afford.

Our staff prepares a wide range of foods for each meal to accommodate varied food preferences and dietary restrictions.
Where and How They Worship
Our spacious meeting hall can accommodate ministry events with a live band and a featured speaker who relates to teens through Biblically-rooted theology.
Small group discussions in smaller meeting spaces allow youth leaders to help students understand and apply the messages to their personal lives.

Due to generous donations, we are able to offer partial scholarships based on financial need.
Applications are considered on a first-come-first-serve basis.
