SpringHill Day Camp brings the excitement and fun of camp directly to local communities. We partner with churches across the Midwest to create unforgettable experiences for pre-K through 5th-grade kids.
As a youth leader in our Counselor in Training (CIT) program, you play a vital role in this mission by VOLUNTEERING for 1-WEEK to assist trained counselors. The CIT program is designed to help teens ages 13-15 grow in youth leadership, faith, and confidence while gaining hands-on experience in camp ministry.

SpringHill Day Camps are looking for Counselors in Training (CITs) to volunteer for one week this summer.
If you’re between 13 and 15 and live near one of our Day Camp Churches, this is your chance to have a blast, learn leadership skills, serve others, and build lasting friendships in a Christ-centered environment.
SpringHill Youth Leadership Counseling in Training (CIT) Program
What You Will Do
The Counselor in Training (CIT) program is a 1-week VOLUNTEER position designed to help teens develop leadership skills while assisting SpringHill counselors at our Day Camps. CITs will:
- Be paired with at least two trained SpringHill counselors for guidance and support.
- Gain hands-on experience in leading group activities and ensuring the safety and fun of campers.
- Build relationships with campers, counselors, and other CITs.
What You Can Expect
Commitment: A 1-week volunteer role, including a mandatory half-day training session on the Sunday before camp starts.
Schedule: Volunteer hours are approximately 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.
Training and Support:
- Learn everything you need to know about being a CIT during the Sunday training session.
- Work alongside trained SpringHill counselors who provide guidance throughout the week.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading a group of 16-20 kids.
- Help run activities and lead group games.
- Ensure the safety and engagement of all campers.
- Participate in daily Bible studies designed specifically for CITs.
