SpringHill Day Camp brings the excitement of summer camp directly to local communities. Partnering with churches across the Midwest, we create a fun and faith-filled experience for pre-K through 5th-grade kids.

Working with SpringHill Day Camps for a week, you will gain youth leadership skills and play an essential role in making camp fun and accessible to children in the local community.

As a Day Camp Team member, you will gain camp counselor experience. Working alongside trained SpringHill staff, you’ll learn the ins and outs of day camp and build the foundation to take on bigger roles. It’s the perfect opportunity to serve your community while preparing for other jobs that will help you develop your youth leadership skills.

At Day Camps, we believe that we can extend the partnership between churches and SpringHill even further by inviting individuals to work for 1 week of camp at their local church!

Our 1-Week Counselor Program

What You Will Do

The 1-Week Counselor Program is a designed for individuals passionate about working with kids and serving at their local church. This role allows you to:

Work alongside a trained SpringHill Counselor.
Build valuable leadership skills.
Make a lasting impact on kids’ lives in a Christian camp environment.
Connect with your local church and community.
Serve as a camp counselor for kids & build new friendships.

What You Can Expect

Commitment: This is a 1-Week position that includes a mandatory half-day of training on the Sunday before camp begins.
Schedule: You’ll work approximately 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, leading a group of 16-20 kids in partnership with a SpringHill Counselor.
Training and Support: You’ll never be alone—a SpringHill Counselor will guide and support you throughout the week.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and lead kids through activities.
- Help facilitate small group discussions.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers.
- Create an engaging and fun environment for every child.
Perks:
- Daily lunch provided.
- Opportunities to connect with other counselors through community nights on Tuesday and Thursday.
- $200 weekly salary.
